Karen Johnson | keynote speaker
Karen Johnson, 56, of Mount Washington KY was born and raised in Louisville KY. She accepted Jesus as her personal Savior at the age of 10 and was baptized at 14 at New Salem Baptist Church. As she raised her three sons, she was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church teaching 3rd grade Sunday School and singing in the choir. She accepted the Lord’s call to be one of three women who formed the gospel group, Heaven’s Light, writing songs and ministering to churches across Indiana and Louisville for nearly 10 years. She currently holds a leadership role of Vice President in financial services and has been with her employer for over 23 years. In 2020 and 2023, Karen welcomed two grandsons who are true blessings.
Seeking a closer relationship with Jesus and following the direction of the Holy Spirit, she hosted a women’s retreat, “All of You, Jesus”, in November 2023 whereby she still meets regularly with this special group of women. Karen’s newfound passion for the Word of God has transformed her life these past few years. As God would have it, she recently joined The Believer’s Church and excited about what God is doing in this time. Above it all, Karen has a heart for Jesus and desires to serve wherever He leads.
